In the IB Middle Years Program (MYP), Service and Action empowers students to apply what they learn in class to make a positive impact on their community. It encourages responsibility, empathy, and real-world problem-solving.

At New Pathways Academy, Service and Action comes to life through our PATH Plants initiative. Students take ownership of plant care throughout the school, using observation, journaling, pruning, and watering to maintain classroom greenery. This hands-on project not only supports student wellness and beautifies our school—it builds key ATL skills like collaboration, self-management, and scientific inquiry while nurturing a sense of community and shared responsibility.
